Speakit was founded by award-winning filmmakers Marc J Francis and Nick Francis to tell compelling stories about the most urgent issues of our time for worldwide audiences.
We are a home for visionary leaders, change-makers, thinkers, filmmakers, writers, artists, journalists and creators. We amplify voices and transform ground-breaking ideas into cinematic stories and we partner with world’s leading broadcasters, distributors, platforms and funding organisations – across film, audio and the visual arts – including the BBC, Channel 4, National Geographic, PBS, Arte, Penguin Random House, Audible, The Guardian, amongst many others.
Speakit’s feature-documentaries include the award-winning Sundance sensation ‘Black Gold’; the BBC/Arte Co-production ‘When China Met Africa’; the box-office hit ‘Walk With Me’ narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch and ‘Here I Am’ featuring New York Times best-selling author Elizabeth Gilbert (due for release in 2024).
Alongside our original films, we leverage our expertise to consult creatively with storytellers at every stage of the production journey from ideation and development, through to production and distribution.
We are always open to new collaborations, so please get in touch if you have a project you’d like to discuss with us.
